The language of a statewide "Proposed Call for a Constitutional Convention" referendum to be voted on for the November 4 Presidential Election has been changed in accordance with a Cook County Circuit Court ruling.

The wording on paper ballots and touch screen voting equipment will remain in the original form. However, a notice with the new, corrected language will be posted in polling places and distributed to all voters at the time they vote. Voters are instructed to disregard the ballot language in lieu of the information on the notice. Votes on this referendum will still be cast on paper ballots and touch screen voting machines.
