Press Release

Unofficial February 28, 2017 Consolidated Primary Election township - and precinct-level results for suburban Cook County can now be viewed online at or via this PDF.

Unofficial results include all precinct totals, all early voting and all mail ballots received through Election Day for the municipalities of Berwyn (includes township races), Calumet City, Dolton and Evanston.

Once on the Clerk’s Election Results page, select "view" from the “Online Results” column. Please note the download feature allows you to get an Excel document with precinct and township data by contest.

Here are several highlights from Tuesday’s election:
• All 125 precincts in the four participating municipalities were reported by 8:58 p.m.
• Based on unofficial results, suburban Cook County turnout was about 19 percent.
• Berwyn had the highest turnout (25%) of the four municipalities, followed by Dolton (23%).
• Voter turnout generally increased as Election Day went on – especially with 48-67 year olds (see below). By comparison, the November 2016 Presidential Election saw its largest turnouts in both the early (6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.) and late hours of Election Day (3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.).

The unofficial results will change as ballots arrive over the next two weeks. According to state law, mail ballots are eligible to be counted if they are postmarked by February 28 and received by March 14. There are also provisional ballots that, if validated, will be counted.

The Clerk's office has 21 days to certify the results. Results will be updated periodically as mail and provisional ballots are processed.
