Two suburban Cook County polling places will stay open for voting until 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
At one precinct in Blue Island, election judges did not show up and the precinct opened late. At a polling place in North Riverside, the building was locked when election judges arrived Tuesday morning.
The affected polling places are:
Proviso Township Precinct 102, Komarek School, 8940 24th St., North Riverside
Worth Township Precinct 24, Eisenhower High School, 12700 Sacramento Ave., Blue Island
Voters registered at Precinct 102 in Proviso Township and Precinct 24 in Worth Township are permitted to vote up to one hour after the statewide poll-closing time of 7 p.m. Any voters who are in line by the 8 p.m. deadline will be allowed to cast a ballot.
