The official election notice from Cook County Clerk David Orr’s office will soon arrive in nearly 940,000 suburban Cook County households.
“Please check your mailboxes because the notice contains important information about when, how and where to vote,” Orr said.
Each notice contains tailored information for that household, including: the offices up for election on their ballot; their polling place on April 7; the nearest early voting site; and details about the three ways to vote – by mail, during early voting and on election day.
To save money, the Clerk’s office mails the notice to each household rather than every voter. There are about 1,418,049 registered voters in suburban Cook County.
