Michael Crichton wrote the thriller Jurassic Park and he created/produced the TV series ER. Crichton, one of the most popular writers in the world, had his books translated into 36 languages and 13 were made into films. These include Twister, Sphere, 13th Warrior, The Terminal Man, and TimeLine. He died from throat cancer in 2008.
