Ed Paschke was a renowned painter who continued to evolve and experiment throughout his career. While he was a Chicagoan, Paschke had great international success. Paschke was one of a 1960s group of Chicago artists called the Imagists, whose fantastical artwork had roots in various movements, including surrealism and pop art. He incorporated comic book techniques and experimented with computer-generated images. Paschke was noted by fellow artists for his generosity and for helping them secure venues for their art.
