Unofficial results online with 100% of precincts reported

The second highest number of suburban Cook County voters in history cast ballots for the Nov. 4, 2008 Presidential Election, Cook County Clerk David Orr announced Wednesday.
While turnout reached 72 percent of registered voters -- short of projections and not record-setting -- 1,035,014 suburban voters cast ballots Tuesday and during the Early Voting period, according to unofficial results.
Only one Presidential Election saw more voters: 1,062,603 people voted in the 1992 Presidential Election.
Results will change due to late-arriving absentee ballots and provisional ballots.
About 10,000 of the 32,000 absentee ballots requested have not been returned. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 but can be received until Nov. 18. More than 9,000 provisional ballots must be reviewed.
By law, the Clerks office has until Nov. 25 to certify its results to the Illinois State Board of Elections.
