I am the Honorable Michael W. Stuttley, a retired Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. I am the Democratic Candidate for Mayor of South Holland. I am currently the managing attorney, with The Stuttley Group, LLC in Harvey, Illinois, where there are 7 attorneys whom I supervise. I earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago and was admitted to the Illinois Bar on November 5, 1979. For the past 30+ years I have licensed to practiced law in the state of Illinois. As a Judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County, I served as supervising Judge.
I am running for Mayor of South Holland because of four salient issues: disproportionate foreclosure rates, almost none existing economic development, escalating juvenile delinquency and rising criminal rates.”
For the past six years, I have lived in South Holland. During this time, I have experienced a lack of leadership from the current administration. There are critical issues that affect the Village of South Holland such as: people losing their homes at alarming rates due to foreclosures, raised taxes, increased water rates, and lack of quality education. Furthermore, there is little or no transparency in government.
I am a proven leader, and I have the ability to lead beyond immeasurable circumstances. Furthermore, I am on the board of directors for numerous civic and professional organizations, such as the Supreme Court Committee on Judicial Performance, the Cook County Judicial Advisory Commission, and Roseland Community Hospital. I also serve as Chairman of the South Suburban Disproportionate Minority Confinement (SSDMC) Foundation.”
