My name is Lee Preston, and I am running for retention as judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. My number one priority as Circuit Court Judge is to take the job, and not myself, very seriously. As a judge for over eighteen years, I wholly appreciate the importance of faithful application of the law to the individual facts of each case before me. As a U.S. Army veteran, former practicing attorney of twenty-two years, and former Illinois State Representative of fourteen years, I take great pride in continuing to serve the public and remaining faithful to the justice system. I understand that being a judge requires integrity, impartiality, practiced legal ability, and an even temperament. Accordingly, I feel I am qualified and prepared to honestly and honorably fulfill the duties of circuit court judge for another term.
