Absentee Eligibility
Any registered suburban Cook County voter may apply for an absentee ballot. It is no longer necessary to provide a reason for requesting an absentee ballot, according to a new Illinois law.
Voters who are physically unable to reach the polling place can register for the Disabled Voter Program. Those voters will automatically receive an application for an absentee ballot before each election for the next five years.
Voters living overseas and military personnel can vote through the Military/Overseas Absentee Ballot Program.
College students living away from home can sign up for the Student Absentee Voter Program to receive an application for absentee ballot.

Unless you require assistance, do not let anyone else mark your absentee ballot.
Do not let anyone force or coerce you into voting for any candidate..
Do not let anyone, other than a close relative or authorized messenger, mail, deliver or handle your voted absentee ballot.
